I brought My 8 month old son in with a cold, he was prescribed Adavair for wheezing, and an antibiotic. The pharmacy would not fill the Adavair precription, they called down to Sick Kids Hospital- sick kids had never heard of a baby taking this medication...Sick Kids called the drug manufacturer, who said they have never done studies on this medication with anyone younger than 15 years old - it should NOT be taken by a baby! The pharmacy called Dr. Foster, as well as faxed him this information for a new perscription, I also called Dr. Foster's office twice - he has never returned either of our calls. I took my son to the hospital 2 days later - he had mild pneumonia in his right lung - the antibiotics Foster prescribed (and I paid to have filled!) were completely irrelevant to the Baby's symptoms. Dr. Foster is too quick to prescribe anything, and apparently has little to no drug knowledge, only enough to be dangerous. He could have harmed an 8 month old baby, and does not have to humility or compassion enough to even call to help. I think he is too old to re-educate, therefore I think it is time for this man to hang up his stethoscope, before he kills someone with his negligence.
I doubt my son is the fist baby to be prescribed Adavair by Dr. Foster - if you have a baby who he has prescribed this too, please take your child to the hospital or another Doctor immediately.
